🏹 Yesterday a brilliant group of Aquarians headed to Royal Richmond Archery Club’s Pagoda Shoot and had a fantastic day in the sunshine. It was smoothly organised, the weather was glorious, and we had so much fun shooting alongside many familiar faces.

Aquarius Archery Club is a friendly, well-established target archery club based at Fortis Green Covered Reservoir in East Finchley, London. Founded in 1966, we are affiliated to Archery GB and World Archery, and are proud to be one of the largest archery clubs in London and the Southern Counties.

We shoot outdoors all year round, weather permitting, in our peaceful grounds surrounded by wildlife. Our members mainly shoot recurve, barebow and longbow, with other traditional bow styles also enjoyed at the club. We welcome archers from age 10 upwards, from newer members finding their feet to experienced competitors continuing to develop their skills.

Aquarius is about more than just shooting. Our clubhouse, The Alan Lake Pavilion, gives members a welcoming place to relax, catch up and enjoy club life. Throughout the year we run regular shooting sessions, social events, fun shoots, workshops, league matches and open tournaments, including our Good Friday Albion, Double American and Longbow & Barebow Tournament.

During the winter months, members can also take part in indoor shooting on Thursday evenings in Barnet, as well as outdoor winter rounds such as the Frostbite League.

We run beginners’ courses during the spring and summer for adults and juniors aged 10+. Our qualified coaches, supported by experienced club members, provide a safe, friendly introduction to the sport. After completing a beginners’ course, you may be able to join the club and continue your archery journey through regular shooting and improver sessions.

Safety and safeguarding are central to everything we do, helping to make Aquarius a welcoming and supportive club for all members, including children and vulnerable adults.
