Welcome to Aquarius Archery Club

Aquarius Archery Club is a well-established target archery club founded in 1966, located at Fortis Green Covered Reservoir, Southern Road, East Finchley, London, N2 9LH. The club is affiliated to our national governing body Archery GB and through them our international body – World Archery (WA). We are one of the biggest archery clubs in London and the Southern Counties.

We are a very diverse club, shooting all year round, weather permitting. Our archers shoot recurve, barebow and longbows – although other traditional bows are also used. Compound bows are only shot in the indoor season. Members range from 10 years upwards, at various levels, all striving to improve. Our beautiful grounds are peaceful and full of wildlife, and our club house provides a welcoming environment for a rest after shooting, as well as opportunities for social events with other archers.

Our outdoor season lasts all year, and we invite other archery clubs to join in the fun, with events such as our Good Friday Shoot and Double American competition. We also run special events, like family fun days, fun shoots and quiz nights, not forgetting our amazing firework display in November! We are a hardy bunch, and just to show how adventurous we are, we have a Frostbite challenge during the winter months – wrap up warm! The indoor season (September – March) takes place on Monday evenings at the Archer Academy, East Finchley, where we have an 18m shooting range. During the indoor sessions we participate in league matches, and of course have a bit of fun during the dark evenings. Our indoor championship is in February.

We offer beginners’ courses during the Spring and Summer for anyone aged 10 and over. We have trained coaches who may be assisted by experienced archers who help our course members achieve the best results with their archery. We have an excellent ratio of coaches to beginners. After your beginners’ course, you may be able to join the club and take part in our improvers’ sessions. For more information, please click here or on the course button above.

Safety is paramount in our sport, alongside safeguarding all of our members, including children and vulnerable adults.
